This scene says everything. It shows the kind of relationship Jae Ha has with Hang Ah perfectly. He truly does love her, but she’s so much more to him than just a lover. She’s his strength when he needs it, and a mother to him when he’s scared. It’s hard to put that much faith into someone, and it’s rare to have someone you can confide in for everything, and to have someone who you’re willing to show your fears and weaknesses to.
I’ve been noticing that Hang Ah and Jae Ha always have a meeting at the end of the day when Jae Ha tells her what’s going on in his political world, and she gives him her advice/opinions in return. It’s really nice to see that Hang Ah isn’t just holding the title of the Queen, she’s actually doing something as Queen (okay, so she’s technically the Queen to-be, but you get the point :P).
